Synonyms	Leukocyte-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor 1, LAIR-1, hLAIR1, CD305 antigen, LAIR1, CD305.
Introduction	LAIR1 is a glycoprotein （~32kDa） expressed on the surface of the majority of human peripheral blood mononuclear leukocytes including T cells, B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. LAIR-1 functions as an inhibitory receptor in NK cells, T cells and B cells. Inhibitory receptors control the immune response to prevent lysis of cells recognized as self. Lair1 consists of a leader sequence, extracellular domain, transmembrane domain, cytoplasmic region. LAIR1 is a member of both the immunoglobulin superfamily and the leukocyte-associated inhibitory receptor family. LAIR1 maps to a region of 19q13.4 labeled the leukocyte receptor cluster, which contains at least 29 genes encoding leukocyte-expressed receptors of the immunoglobulin superfamily.
Description	LAIR1 Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing amino acids 105 and having a molecular mass of 11.5 kDa. The extracellular domain of LAIR-1 （22-125aa） was overexpressed in E.coli, and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
Source	Escherichia Coli.
Physical Appearance	Sterile filtered colorless solution.
Formulation	The protein （1mg/ml） contains 20mM Tris-HCl （pH7.5） 50mM NaCl and 1mM EDTA.
Stability	Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein （0.1% HSA or BSA）. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity	Greater than 95.0% as determined by（a） Analysis by RP-HPLC. （b） Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
